Today was Teddy Bear day

Cassie got to take her bear "Sparkles" to school with her today. It was teddy bear day. They had been talking about different kinds of bears all week. They had a teddy bear picnic and then played a fun game. Everyone in class introduced their bear and told a little bit about it. Cassie had a very hard time trying to decide what Sparkles should wear. Sparkles is 3 1/2 years old. Cassie built her in Salt Lake at the Build-a-Bear in the Gateway. Every time we go to Salt Lake we have to go to Build-a-Bear.

It was such a nice sunny day today. This is one of reasons I love living here. I decided to walk up and pick the girls up. Cassie's friend Mitzi came over to play. My neighbors kids also came over. The girls had a great afternoon. I just love Fridays.

The girls had a dance performance on Tuesday night. It was at the Dixie College girls basketball game. We were able to get free tickets if we stayed to watch the game after the performance. The girls wanted a treat from the concession stand. They got frozen lemonade slushie's. We stayed and watched the 3rd quarter then left. I love watching the girls dance. Jadzia is getting very good and Cassie is just so cute.

Oreo's Are the BEST!

Friday's are one of my favorite days. The girls get out early from school and Cassie always wants to have friends over. They have lots of fun dressing up, playing barbie's, polly's or bears. After an hour of playing they had to take a break. What snack is better than Oreo's and milk.

Later in the day Cassie went to a pizza birthday party and Jamie took Jadzia out for a daddy/daughter date. I wanted them to take the camera and snap a few pictures but they refused. They went bowling and ate dinner. The house was really quiet after they left. I spent time organizing all my digital pictures.

I don't know why but I couldn't take a very good picture of this. The little treasure chest with Cassie's tooth.

Cassie had a loose tooth last sunday. It was just barely hanging on but she didn't want it to fall out until monday when she was at school. Her teacher has these cute little treasure chests that you get if you tooth falls out during school. She got her wish. When I picked her up on monday she was smiling from ear to ear and had a little green treasure chest in her hand. That night she wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy asking if she could please, please, please keep her tooth because she had a very safe place to keep it. Of course she still wanted some money. The tooth fairy was very nice and let her keep the tooth and also gave her a dollar. This is only Cassie's 2nd lost tooth.

On monday we had a picnic at Vernon Worthen park. It was such a nice day. After eating we played for a couple hours then went to coldstone for some ice cream. This is the reason why we live here.

This week my mom has been here. She had a minor knee surgery on monday morning and stayed the rest of the week. Today Jamie and I ran in the Sun Painters 1/2 marathon. It was a little chilly this morning. Mom watched the girls for us while we ran. The race started at the Dixie Center and went through Bloomington, along the Virgin River trail and a loop through Bloomington Hills. It was a great race. Jamie's time was 1:33 and Mine was 1:40. We just hung out around the house the rest of the afternoon then later we played some board games.

Tonight was the girls first dance performance. It was at a Dixie High school basketball game. They were the halftime entertainment. The girls had a busy day playing with friends. At 4 p.m. they got in the shower. While their hair was drying we ate nacho's for dinner. I slicked their hair back into a ponytail and curled the end. This hairstyle was much easier than last year.

All the Pizazz dancers sat together until the start of the 2nd quarter then they went out to stretch and get ready. The girls did a great job! Jamie video taped it with the camcorder. It was kind of hard to find the girls when their group came on because they all had the same hair and shirt. Jadzia was on the opposite side of the room from where we were sitting and another girl was standing in front of Cassie at the beginning of her dance. Jadzia dances to a section of the song "Damaged." She is getting to be such a great dancer. Cassie dances to the song "Cry for you." It is so cute when she shakes her little hips. She is almost the smallest girl in her group. All the Pizazz dancers dance together at the end.

After their performance we went to Iceberg for a treat. We always share shakes because even the mini's are so huge. Jadzia and I shared a cherry chocolate shake. Jamie and Cassie got a butterfinger with hot fudge shake. We also had to get 2 orders of fries. They have really good fries (thick and fresh) and I love the fry sauce.

Their next performance is next Wednesday. They will be dancing during the Pine View half time game.

Jadzia lost a tooth today at school. She was playing with it while she was listening to her teacher and it just fell into her hand. She made a little envelope for it and brought it home. The tooth fairy will becoming to our house tonight.

Cassie has been bugging me for the last month to go to the dentist. Today we went. Bright and early this morning we headed for Dr. Frei. It was kind of funny because all the way there Cassie was saying how she really didn't want to go to the dentist and her teeth were fine. She didn't want to miss school. Dr. Frei checked her teeth and no cavities but two new molars were coming in the back and she had a really loose tooth in front. Jadzia was not quite so fortunate she has a couple tiny cavities and has to go back. We have been fighting Jadzia on brushing her teeth and most the time she only brushes them for about 30 seconds so hopefully after this she will start brushing better. I am going to see how much a preventive mouth wash is.

The girls have their first dance performance on Saturday. They will perform at Dixie High School during half time. I will post some pictures. Tomorrow they have a 2 hour practice.
